Long walk

Yesterday I walked from The Photographers Gallery (after seeing the very good Jim Goldberg show) up Portland Place to Regents Park. The sky was cobalt and clear and the low winter sun cast blue shadows across the remains of last week's snow. I followed my ever-lengthening shadow first north to Primrose Hill and as the sun continued its journey into the west, north-north-east through Belsize Park, up onto a beautifully snowy Hampstead Heath and finally to Kenwood House.

All the while listening to a suitably icy and hypnotically uplifting soundtrack for a winter walk — Wasteland by Tin Man (Download here), and Zauberberg by GAS (yet again).
